In its basic configuration, the IP DECT server COMfortel WS-400 IP has six VoIP call channels to the PBX system, allowing to connect 12 DECT handsets. When required, it can be easily expanded to 12 call channels, thus enabling the connection of up to 30 DECT handsets. This software clearing (subject to a charge) turns the device into a multi-cell server, enabling the connection of three additional IP DECT bases (COMfortel WS-Base).
Incidentally, the radio network connecting the individual bases operates with “seamless handover” – moving with a DECT handset within this radio network means you can make uninterrupted calls.
Best of all: your existing infrastructure doesn’t have to be altered, and your PBX system, e.g. a COMmander 6000 from FONtevo, may continue to be used – extended to include mobile telephony.
The Auerswald IP DECT wireless system consists of several components.
For single-cell operation: the COMfortel WS-400 IP server (including a DECT base), if necessary, a COMfortel WS-R2/R4 repeater to extend the range, and our DECT handsets COMfortel M-100, M-210 or M-310.
For multi-cell operation: a COMfortel WS-400 IP server (contains a DECT base) with multi-cell upgrade, up to three DECT bases COMfortel WS-Base, if necessary, a COMfortel WS-R2/R4 repeater to extend the range of the bases, and our DECT handsets COMfortel M-100, M-210 or M-300/310.
